Big Crowds Expected at Iowa Irish Fest in Eastern Iowa

They say everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day. But this weekend everyone in Iowa will be celebrating the green with another huge event: Iowa Irish Fest at Lincoln Park in Waterloo.

The annual Iowa Irish Fest festival features three days of entertainment, including the poplualr band Gaelic Storm and a Friday night music performance by our favorite local Celtic band Wyld Nept. 

The Highland Games are another great Irish Fest tradition with my favorite, the Scottish Hammer Throw (think Mel Gibson in Braveheart and you're there!)

There are Rugby and Soccer tournaments, 5k Run, Motorcycle Ride and plenty of kids activities as well.

Many early risers enjoy the traditional Irish breakfast and brunch, and there are plenty of food vendors to explore and enjoy all weekend.
