Bernie Sanders To Speak At Rally In Cedar Rapids On Friday

Senator Bernie Sanders is scheduled to speak at a rally in Cedar Rapids on Friday. The event is being put on by 'Not One Cent', a group opposed to President Trump's tax plan.

Sanders will be the featured speaker for the TrumpTax Tour that the group announced last week. Cedar Rapids is the first stop on the tour. Other cities on the tour include Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Lansing, Michigan.

Sanders visited Iowa many times as a presidential candidate in 2016. He finished first in caucuses in Linn and Johnson counties. He'll campaign for a congressional candidate in Des Moines before heading to Cedar Rapids for the rally.

Friday's event will be held at Veteran's Memorial Coliseum at 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
