Armed Robbery At Walgreens In Iowa City

According to CBS2, "On Saturday, Iowa City Police responded to Walgreens, 2214 Muscatine Ave., just before Noon for an armed robbery at the store's pharmacy."

Two suspects approached the pharmacy counter and one of them showed a gun in his waistband. The suspects then jumped over the counter. They weren't looking for cash, they wanted the medications. The CBS2 story noted, "The suspects gathered an undisclosed amount of medication and fled the store."

Thankfully, the pharmacist wasn't hurt. Police are looking for two black male suspects. If you have any information, you can contact the Iowa City Area Crimestoppers at 358-TIPS.

They're offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
