An Indoor Amusement Park is Opening Soon in Eastern Iowa
The wait is almost over!
Back in January, it was revealed that a new indoor amusement park would be coming to the Quad Cities. The business is called Malibu Jack's, and it's is located at 858 Middle Road in Bettendorf, which is the former home of Schnuck's Grocery Store in the Duck Creek Plaza.
According to the Malibu Jack's Quad Cities website, the new indoor theme park will feature go karts, laser tag, bowling, arcade games, mini-golf, a play zone, bumper cars, and more. Rides include the Swinging Ship, Wipeout, and a 4D motion theater ride with "blasters" called Dark Ride. You can check out a full list of attractions HERE.
A September article from the Quad City Times reports that Malibu Jack's is owned by Jester FEC, which also owns Malibu Jack's locations in Indiana and Kentucky. The new Quad Cities location was initially expected to open earlier this year, but planning and supply chain issues had delayed their progress. It is now expected to open this winter, possibly in early 2024.
Right now, hiring is underway at Malibu Jack's Quad Cities. The official website says that they are hiring both management and hourly positions, and you can get more information about that HERE.
Malibu Jack's had yet to announce an official opening date for their Bettendorf location, but you can get the latest updates from the company by following the official Facebook page HERE.
