The popular television signing competition is searching for the next superstar with "Idol Across America." These are open virtual auditions, and it'll soon be open for Iowans.

ABC Entertainment issued a press release stating that they will be holding virtual auditions via Zoom in Iowa on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. This is the show's second year hosting these virtual auditions. It's auditioning made easy, without all of the travel. Who knows, you could be like our beloved Iowa-native Maddie Poppe and become the next American Idol! Here's how it works.

How to Audition Virtually in Iowa for American Idol?

You can sign up to audition face-to-face in front of producers and receive real-time feedback. If they like what they see, you could be on your way to Hollywood, or at least the next step in the process. If you're thinking about auditioning, Iowa auditions will be held on Wednesday, August 25. You can reserve your Zoom time slot HERE. Participants must be born on or between June 2, 1992 and September 15, 2006. If you were born before or after this window, you are not eligible to participate.
