Aerosmith Kick Off Aero-Vederci Baby! Tour: Videos and Set List
Aerosmith launched their Aero-Vederci Baby! tour last night with the band's first show in Israel in more than 20 years.
The Times of Israel reports that roughly 50,000 fans turned out to see the group perform at Park HaYarkon in Tel Aviv — and caught a set stuffed with hits as well as a few mild surprises.
Aside from radio mainstays like "Livin' on the Edge" and "Sweet Emotion," the group pulled out a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well" for the first time in more than a decade, and reintroduced "Hangman Jury" to the set after a six-year absence.
Unfortunately, the evening also reportedly found Aerosmith dogged by mic issues that affected their ability to interact with the crowd — and even spurred some audience members to leave early. The group now has a couple of days to work out the kinks before taking the stage at the Black Sea Arena in Batumi, Georgia, on May 20.
As previously reported, this round of dates is being somewhat halfheartedly billed as a farewell tour of sorts, although guitarist Joe Perry has remained staunchly noncommittal about putting a real end date on the band's live activity — and with plans for a new album lurking on the horizon, it seems likely we won't have to say goodbye to Aerosmith for some time. Check out footage from the May 17 show, and read over the complete set list, below.
