One of the 11 "don't miss" flea markets in the Midwest is just a few weeks away!

If you're on the hunt for antiques or collectables, you might want to make the drive to What Cheer, Iowa this spring! The What Cheer Flea Market is coming up May 6th, 7th, and 8th at the Keokuk County Fairgrounds.

The What Cheer Flea Market is a massive event featuring "450 vendors taking up 750 spaces over 20 acres." It's been happening since 1977! Some of the items you'll find at the market include glassware, stamps, coins, furniture, jewelry, military memorabilia, and a whole lot more.

The spring market is set for Friday, May 6th through Sunday, May 8th beginning at 7 a.m. It will run until 5 p.m. on Friday & Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. There is also an "early bird" shopping day on Thursday the 5th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an admission price of $5. Admission is only $3 on Friday and Saturday, and free on Sunday.

The official website for the What Cheer Flea Market offers lots of information for shoppers. They suggest wearing sunscreen and comfortable shoes, bringing bags or some kind of wagon or cart for your purchases, and having cash on you. There are ATMs on site, as well as several concession stands for food and beverages. Pets are allowed, as are golf carts and scooters for guests that are "physically unable to get around the grounds on their own." The busiest day of the market is Saturday, so prepare for traffic and longer lines.

If you're not able to make it to the spring market, there are still two more scheduled for 2022: August 5th through 7th and September 30th through October 2nd. You can get more details on all three flea markets HERE.
