A Couple of Big Fall Vendor Markets are Coming Up Next Month
Get ready to shop!
Over Memorial Day weekend, the Cedar County Fairgrounds in Tipton were filled with shoppers from all over Iowa for the spring Good Makers Market. The Good Makers Market is a big vintage/vendor market that only takes place twice a year, and their final event of 2022 is coming up quick! The fall market will take place over Labor Day weekend, Friday and Saturday September 2nd and 3rd.
The Good Makers Market describes itself on Facebook as "Eastern Iowa's hippest market." Each vendor is hand-picked from across the Midwest. The page reads:
"Here you'll find handmade artisan goods, score some amazing vintage, shop our on trend mobile boutiques, eat from our delicious food trucks and listen to local live music."
You'll be able to find homemade jewelry, artwork, candles, clothing, plants, home decor, pet supplies, signs, soap, and a whole lot more at the fall Good Makers Market, which will run September 2nd from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and September 3rd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first 100 shoppers both days will get a free tote bag full of "swag." Admission is $5 per person, with ages 12 and under free.
Later in September, another vendor market called Vintage Market Days of Eastern Iowa will take place at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids. The website says that the event is "an upscale vintage-inspired indoor/outdoor market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, consumable yummies, seasonal plantings and a little more."
Vintage Market Days is scheduled for September 23rd through 25th. It's open Friday & Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 on Friday & Saturday and $5 on Sunday. You can purchase your tickets in advance online HERE.
