If you have been wanting to get your COVID-19 vaccine but have yet to make an appointment somewhere, here's your chance!

According to a new article from CBS 2, Reutzel Pharmacy will be hosting a 24-hour vaccine clinic from Saturday, April 17th through Sunday, April 18th. It will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the DoubleTree by Hilton Alliant Energy Convention Center, and end at 9 a.m. the following day. The shot available at this particular clinic is the two-dose Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which means you will have to return for a second shot sometime between 9 a.m. on May 8th and 9 a.m. on May 9th. The Linn County website reads:

"Any individual making an appointment should be available for both the first and second dose clinics. Once made, appointments cannot be rescheduled due to the limited hours of the clinic."

Anyone ages 16 and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine at the 24-hour clinic, but you must make an appointment first. You can do that by phone at 319-892-6097, or online HERE. They hope to vaccinate around 1,000 people this weekend, including folks who may not be able to get a vaccine during the daytime because of their schedules.

I got my first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine three weeks ago through UnityPoint Health, and I really didn't have any of the negative side effects. Not even the arm soreness, which I hear is the most common. I go in for my second one tomorrow afternoon, so I'm hoping for a similar situation. Wish me luck!
