A $50,000-Winning Powerball Ticket was Purchased in Cedar Rapids

Saturday night was a big night for somebody here in Iowa! According to KCRG, a Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased right here in Cedar Rapids! The winning ticket was bought at the Hy-Vee on Edgewood Road, and matched four out of the five numbers AND the Powerball! And even if that winner isn't you, 49,710 tickets in Iowa won at least $4, so you might want to check yours out. The winning numbers were: 17-19-39-43-68, with a Powerball of 13 and a Power Play number of 4.

The good news is, there STILL wasn't a jackpot winner. That means that Wednesday's drawing will be around $650 million, which is the 2nd highest jackpot in Powerball history, according to The Gazette. And, it could get bigger if sales continue to be high. If you're wondering how much you would walk away with if you took the lump sum, it's $411.7 million. So, you know, no big deal...

The odds of winning are 1 in 292.2 million, but hey, somebody has to eventually! I just hope it's me...
