How to Watch the 2024 WNBA Draft in Iowa
It's draft season. The NFL draft is in just over a week, and tonight, it's the WNBA draft, which will no doubt see Caitlin Clark not only go in round 1, but we'll be seeing Iowa's own go to another "I" state as she turns pro.
The WNBA draft: what you need to know
Tonight the WNBA draft, emanating from the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York, will tipoff at 6:30 p.m. central time. We know Caitlin Clark got to town super early, since she appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend, filmed in New York City, not far from where the draft will be held.
Clark is almost guaranteed to be the first pick which this year belongs to the Indiana Fever. As a result, most Iowans are very likely to seek out Fever merchandise and look for the games on TV here in Iowa.
Because Iowa doesn't have a pro-WNBA team, it's not hard to think of Iowans as Fever fans, and with Clark likely to keep her famous number 22 jersey, there's no doubt you'll start seeing Clark's Fever jerseys all over the Hawkeye State soon enough.
