An employee of Wendy's restaurant in Overland, Missouri, has been arrested for allegedly attacking a customer in the drive-thru lane, leaving him with a cut lip and several facial bruises. Police stated the assault involved punches and being hit by a car.

Police Were Dispatched To The Scene

The incident happened at the Wendy's located at 8900 Page Avenue on Monday. Overland Police were dispatched to the scene after a report of a fight in progress was received.

The victim told police that he had engaged in a dispute with an employee named Leon Johnson, during which Johnson physically attacked him from the driver's side window. The customer then attempted to defend himself by getting a hammer from his car, prompting Johnson to hijack the customer's vehicle.

Returning To The Scene

According to court documents, Johnson later returned to the scene, and struck the customer with the stolen car, knocking the hammer from his hand. He then exited the vehicle, retrieved the hammer, and started smashing the car's front windshield.

When the police attempted to detain Johnson, he reportedly resisted arrest and bit two officers. It remains unclear what initiated the altercation between the men.

Facing Charges

Leon Johnson, a 26-year-old resident of St. Louis, faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree assault, third-degree assault, tampering with a motor vehicle, second-degree property damage, and resisting arrest. He is also being charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault.

Johnson is currently held at the St. Louis County Justice Center with a cash-only bond set at $50,000.
