A grocery shopper in eastern Iowa purchased a Powerball ticket for Saturday night's drawing that's worth $2 million! The Iowa Lottery says the ticket, sold at the Hy-Vee on Agency St. in Burlington, matched all five numbers, but not the Powerball. However, the person who purchased the ticket added the Power Play option which doubled their prize from $1 million to $2 million. The ticket was the only one sold in the entire nation that was worth $2 million. Tickets worth $1 million were sold in Florida, Illinois, and Texas.

The Saturday, February 9 jackpot was worth an estimated $223.6 million. Here are the numbers from the drawing:

1, 2, 3, 7, 39. Powerball: 25

Power Play 3

Since there was no winner Saturday night, Wednesday's drawing will be worth approximately $242 million.

Monday, February 4, Danny Lovett, a trucker from East Moline, Illinois, claimed a $1 million Mega Millions prize from a ticket he purchased at a convenience store in central Iowa last month.

It's now been ten months since a $1 million Powerball ticket was purchased in Nevada, Iowa for the April 11, 2018 drawing. Whoever has that ticket has only two more months to claim the money, or the prize is forfeited.
