A 15-year-old teen, who went missing from Belmont, Mississippi on Tuesday, February 25, has been found safe in Johnston, Iowa. The Iowa community is about 700 miles from Belmont.

Monica O'Bryan, was found near Johnston High School in central Iowa late Sunday afternoon. 21-year-old Jared M. Wright of Lawton, Oklahoma was with O'Bryan and has been charged with harboring a runaway. Police confirmed to KCCI that O'Bryan had been taken out of Mississippi by the man. Thomas also said O'Bryan has a learning disability and is "easily manipulated."

O'Bryan was staying with her grandmother on February 24 and disappeared sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 7:40 a.m. the next morning. Authorities were concerned because of the risk of sex trafficking in the Belmont area.

Thankfully, she is safe.
