1/15/1967: The Rolling Stones Banned from Ed Sullivan Show
The Rolling Stones appeared for the fourth time on the very popular Ed Sullivan Show on January 15, 1967. However, the producers wanted the band to change the lyrics of 'Let’s Spend The Night Together' to Let’s Spend Some Time Together.
Jagger DID change the words, but he rolled his eyes at the TV camera while singing the changed lyrics, resulting in host Ed Sullivan announcing that The Rolling Stones would be banned from performing on his show ever again.
However, the ban didn't last very long -- they were back on the show in 1969.
