10 Inmates in Coralville have COVID-19

According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, "Ten men housed at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville have tested positive for COVID-19."

The prison currently houses 815 inmates and they plan to expand testing. This will be a change from only testing prisoners that arrive from other jails.

The story said the first positive case came in last week from a prisoner transferred from Henry County. As we all know, this is very contagious and spreads fast, especially in a confined place like a jail cell.

As of today, 69 of the inmates have been tested and 10 had it. This is not a good sign and that number could go up as testing continues. Let's hope there is some kind of isolation plan to stifle the spread of the virus.
