5k rave run

We had a blast running, walking, and raving with everyone! DJ Dave A set the mood as runners arrived and got ready to hit the course.

The skies over Cedar Rapids are gloomy this morning and we are expecting scattered showers throughout the day. This should all clear up in time for the 5k Rave Run tonight at the McGrath Amphitheater.

Some of you Rave Runners may be new to this 5k race, so we put together a list of the things you might want to bring. Even if you're an experienced runner, this list includes some recommendations to make your Rave Run race experience the best that it can be, and the most fun 5k that you'll ever run!

The 5K Rave Run is very near. We are set for the big event on Saturday at the McGrath Amphitheater. Before you lace up that pair of New Balance shoes, it's very important to think about how you will give your body the energy it needs to run...and the post-run satiation as well.

5K runs are ubiquitous - but maybe you've never considered how that distance breaks down. Fortunately, I brought my calculator to work today.

KRNA and Townsquare Media/Cedar Rapids are set to go with the summer's biggest 5K run and party of 2014. The Rave Run is Saturday, August 16 at McGrath Amphitheater. We are very proud to team with the Cedar Rapids Park and Recreation Department. They have a fantastic local initiative called the Financial Assistance Program.
