Marion Native Marcus Paige Will Play One Final Game In Iowa
University of North Carolina senior and Marion native Marcus Paige missed his first chance at an Iowa homecoming. He'll get a second chance. The former Linn-Mar star will take part in an ACC Barnstorming Tour that will make a rare Iowa stop. A group of seniors from the conference, including Paige, will take on a team of high school stars at Linn-Mar high school April 16th.
North Carolina had a scheduled game early in the season in Cedar Falls against UNI. The Panthers upset the Tar Heels, but Paige didn't play due to a broken bone in his hand. The Barnstorming Tour will play 10 dates in all. 9 in North Carolina and one in Iowa.
General admission tickets for the event are $10 and are available at Linn-Mar High School, Oak Ridge and Excelsior Middle Schools and the Fieldhouse Bar and Restaurant on 1st Ave. in Cedar Rapids. Proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House and Linn-Mar.
