Def Leppard rocked The US Cellular Center Monday night in Cedar Rapids. The venue was completely full and the crowd loved every minute of it. It was just like 1987...except the beer prices are much higher now in 2016.

I went to the upstairs concourse and took the picture that's posted above. The light show was crazy and the sound was amazing. It's hard to believe this band was formed in 1977. Almost forty years later, these guys continue to sell out venues. It's amazing.

The band not only sounded good but they looked mean and clean. According to Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collin, everyone in the group is sober. He told us on The KRNA Morning Show, that he hasn't had a drink since the "Hysteria" tour.

The band played seventeen songs Monday night. My favorite was "Pour Some Sugar on Me." The crowd was almost louder then the sound system. This song is arguably the bands biggest hit. Here's a short video I shot of them playing it live Monday night.

I want to thank The US Cellular Center for promoting this concert. It was great to see a great classic rock show in downtown Cedar Rapids. It's been a stressful couple of weeks around here with the flood of 2016.... It felt pretty good to escape to 1987 for one night.
