Rock titans Def Leppard have joined forces with Tesla and REO Speedwagon. This legendary 2016 tour is headed to Cedar Rapids on October 10, 2016.

I've always been a huge Tesla fan! It seems like every song is a hit. The band started in 1986 and have sold over 25 million albums worldwide.

The first time I saw Tesla was 1991, the last time was 2013. The next time will be October 10th at The US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.

According to the bands website, the 21st century has become something of a renaissance for Tesla. BraveWords reported that Most recently, 2014's "Simplicity" peaked at #14 on the Billboard Top 200. And the band just released a live recording of their classic album, "Mechanical Resonance LIVE!" This live album celebrates the original multi-platinum record's 30th birthday in style. They also threw in a few extras such as the single "Save That Goodness," written and produced by Phil Collen of Def Leppard.

I had the chance to meet Jeff Keith a few years ago. Jeff is the lead singer. He wasn't like your typical "rock star." He's a normal dude. He hung out after the meet and greet and was super cool. We talked about music, football and beer. Nice guy, it was a great experience.

Don't miss this show! If you're wondering what the guys sound like now, go pick up "Mechanical Resonance LIVE!" You'll love it -- we plan to start playing songs from the album next week here on 94.1 KRNA. See you at the show!
