Cedar Rapids Baconfest Is Coming To NewBo City Market On September 20

Do you like bacon? Does the soft sizzle of fresh bacon cooking on a warm griddle fill your heart with joy? Then join us at NewBo City Market on September 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the 2nd annual Cedar Rapids Baconfest!

We will have bacon vendors serving up endless strips of the good stuff as well as local restaurants sampling a variety of bacon dishes. Wash down the salty goodness with cold beverages provided by Fleck Sales.

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Jen Zoller and John Fokken of the band 8 Seconds will be performing an acoustic set of modern and classic country songs, and some classic rock too. The Fez, a Steely Dan cover band, will then take the stage at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets go on sale through our website on Friday, August 22 for $20, which includes heaps of bacon and an exclusive Baconfest koozie. Kids 6 and under get into Baconfest for free!
