The summer of the high profile breakups continue. First Bennifer, then Miranelton. Now Stefdale. Bush singer Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani of No Doubt fame are calling it quits after 13 years of marriage.

Rossdale is asking for joint custody of their children Kingston, Apollo and Zuma.

Who from the Grunge Generation didn't have a copy of Sixteen Stone, the breakthrough Bush disc 20 years ago? And, with the same amount of splash, Gwen's band busted through with the song "Just A Girl" which had a gazillion MTV spins.

This might be the best "motorcyclesque" riff ever. They probably, ah, rode to this one a few times.

They both continued to put out solid music after that early success, in band and solo modes. Bush put on a great show at the Paramount six months ago. One of my favorite shows in a long time.

13 years is a long time in a spotlight marriage. She filed for the divorce. Sans prenuptial, California law states the couple must split their earnings 50/50. I thought maybe they had made similar amounts over the years. After some searching, Stefani's net worth is $80 million while Rossdale's is around $35 million.
