Zach Johnson to Again Represent the U.S.
The Cedar Rapids native has made the U.S. Ryder Cup team for the fifth time.
There are eight automatic qualifiers to the annual event and Zach finished eighth in the points standings. He's in, and that's all that matters.
Zach Johnson is playing on his fourth consecutive Ryder Cup team (2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016). He also played on the team in 2006. Unfortunately, the U.S. is winless in his previous four appearances. Zach's personal record through the years is 6-6-2.
The remainder of the United States Ryder Cup team, in order by their finish in the standings, is Dustin Johnson, Jordon Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Jimmy Walker, Brooks Koepka, and Brandt Snedeker. Mickelson will be taking part in a record 11th straight Ryder Cup, dating back to 1995.
Ryder Cup matches begin September 30. It will be held at Hazeltine National in Chaska, Minnesota.
Ralph Lauren will provide this year's uniforms, unveiled earlier today:
