Robber Tried to Flee in Ambulance, But Couldn’t Drive It

Remember those Mentos commercials from the 90's where someone would pop one and then do something smart? Apparently it doesn't always work.

19-year-old Antoinette Froilan was at a gas station in Allenstown, PA, and decided to walk behind the counter and helped herself to two packs of cigarettes. When an employee tried to stop her crime, she pushed them out of the way, grabbed for packs of Mentos, and left.

She needed a getaway car, so she decided to steal an ambulance that was parked around the corner from the gas station.

The only problem was that she didn't know how to work it.

When police arrived, they found her still in the ambulance, trying to figure it out.

Froilan is going to be facing multiple charges, including felony robbery as well as attempted theft.

In hindsight, if she'd eaten one of those Mentos, she probably would've just gotten away on foot just fine.
