Somehow I just never seem to learn. I don't know if it's my kind heart or if I have to chalk it up to my fiance being the boss of the house. If you've never heard me talk about or read any articles I've written about our 5 cats...well, now you know. We have a house full of little monsters. Mostly I call them my fiance's cats and I just claim them as roommates.

Our 5 cats are named Trixie, Pam, Scotty Boy, Salem, and Jodi B (Photos are in order by name).

Not only do we have these 5 rugrats, but we also have a free-loader in our backyard named Gwen. She's a bird who's decided to make her house under the overhang of our house. To be fair, I don't mind Gwen. She normally keeps to herself and does her own thing. Kudos to Gwen for being a strong independent bird.

Here's where we get to the part where I think I might be breaking the law...

My kind heart be damned. I was out doing some yard work last week and my fiance and I found this brown tabby cat who was hanging out under our front porch. Of course, I never have my phone on me when he's around but he looks just like this. I'll update you with a photo sometime.

I felt bad for him and I brought him a little bowl of cat food and a small bowl of water, assuming he was probably hungry and/or thirsty. This was my first mistake...I miss-calculated somewhere.

Now on a daily basis, you can find Fred hanging out around our house and you can also find me on a daily basis bringing him little bowls of food and water. Yes, I named him Fred.

Of course, he eats up the food in a matter of minutes, drinks some of the water, and lounges around under our porch. Talk about living the good life. After he's done watching the cars go by he'll walk around the neighborhood and make sure there isn't any riff-raff going on, only to return later and enjoy his new home...aka under our porch.

My fiance and I don't let Fred in the house but we do check on him and make sure he's got food and water on a daily basis. He's slowly warmed up to us and doesn't run away when we drop the food off for him anymore. If he'll let us, we'd like to put some medication treatment in his ears because it looks like he has some ear mites.

Am I Breaking The Law?

Now that we've basically adopted this outdoor cat and pretty much watch out for him, I have to be breaking some kind of law with the bird living outside our house and Fred, right? That's sort of like having 7 pets. I'm not even a big animal guy. I like to let animals do their own thing. I think we all know who to blame for this current situation I've found myself in...KORI!
