Small Business Saturday Rescheduled in Waterloo and Cedar Falls
A winter storm may have delayed the fun, but the Cedar Valley is still ready to celebrate local businesses this holiday season.
With Christmas only about 3 weeks away, there may be a bit more urgency this year to get your shopping done.
Between Thanksgiving (and Black Friday) being very late this year, and the major snowstorm we got that weekend, it's left area shoppers with less time to gather gifts for friends and loved ones.

The annual Small Business Saturday was a casualty of the snowstorm, but events weren't cancelled, just delayed.
The Cedar Valley Small Business Saturday is Coming Up
Main Street Waterloo has rescheduled Small Business Saturday for Saturday, December 6, giving shoppers another chance to support the stores, restaurants, and services that keep downtown thriving.

Small Business Saturday encourages residents to shop locally and invest in the entrepreneurs who give Waterloo and Cedar Falls their character.
Shopping Local Makes a Difference
Even small purchases make a difference. According to Main Street Waterloo, $7 of every $10 spent at a locally owned business stays right here in the community, helping maintain storefronts, boost neighborhood vitality, and strengthen the local economy.
To help kick off the rescheduled event, Main Street Waterloo is partnering with Live the Valley and Community Main Street Cedar Falls for a special giveaway.
Shop Local in the Cedar Valley, Win Prizes
The first 100 shoppers in downtown Waterloo and downtown Cedar Falls on December 6 will receive a free reusable shopping bag filled with gift cards, coupons, bounce-back bucks, and exclusive offers.
Bags will be handed out at Anton’s Garden in Waterloo and George’s Local in Cedar Falls beginning at 10 a.m.
Two shoppers will also win $100 gift cards, thanks to Talk to Me Technologies and US Bank Wealth Management.
