The United States Department of Agriculture announced that nearly ten million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry has been recalled from stores throughout the country.

Listeria Can Be Deadly
Listeria are germs that can contaminate food and can cause invasive illness and intestinal illness, according to the Center for Disease Control.
Those that are most at risk to this bacteria are pregnant people, the elderly, newborns, and those with weakened immune systems.
Officials from BrucePac said that the company immediately stopped production and issued the recall once they received this positive test result.
