Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area is one of 62 federally designated heritage areas in the U.S. and an affiliate of the National Park Service.

Its mission is to share the story of American agriculture, past and present, through a network of sites, programs, and events highlighting farm life, agribusiness, and rural communities.

2025 Golden Silo Awards

The Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) has announced the winners of its 2025 Golden Silo Awards, recognizing exceptional efforts to preserve and share America’s agricultural story.

The awards were presented during a luncheon on November 6, celebrating individuals and organizations whose work strengthens the mission of the Heritage Area.
