Snowfall Forces School Closures Across Eastern Iowa – Full List for February 12th

Remember how the temperature was in the fifties for a few glorious days last month?

Now to maintain the balance, it seems like mother nature is about to smother us in some major snowfall.

Our weather partners at KCRG, the "most significant winter storm of the season to date" is hitting us here in Eastern Iowa on Wednesday, February 12th. Some parts of our listenership even saw a bit of snowfall on Tuesday.

However, this midweek weather event is set to affect a larger portion of Eastern Iowa.

The snow started overnight and will most likely be a hindrance for morning commuters. It appears that it will continue through Wednesday evening.

Our weather partners at KCRG-TV are predicting six to nine inches from Waterloo through Guttenberg and points to the south, according to the weather forecast.
