Rumors have been circulating regarding the closure of a popular restaurant in Waterloo.

The Brown Bottle In Waterloo
Nearly four years ago, when I moved to Iowa this was one of the first restaurants in Waterloo that I ate at. My mom had driven out with me from Pennsylvania to the Cedar Valley to help me get settled.
We were looking for something a bit different, and someone recommended the Brown Bottle in Waterloo!
This Italian restaurant is located in the grand lobby of The Historical Russell Lamson Building at 5th & Commercial Streets. The Brown Bottle Waterloo is a family owned Italian eatery that was established in 1972.
In a statement on social media, the owners Chuck and Joanna Landau confirmed what the future of the Brown Bottle in Waterloo would look like.
This decades old eatery will NOT be closing its doors. After receiving several inquiries, the owners felt like they needed to put out a clear cut statement.
The Waterloo restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM for dine in and carryout.
Reservations to eat at this popular spot are accepted, however they are not required.
