We know that Caitlin Clark makes big moves on the court, but it's her actions off of it that continues to set her apart from the rest.

On Sunday, February 2nd the University of Iowa will honor Clark just a year after she graduated. Following the Iowa women's basketball matchup against USC, the West Des Moines native turned WNBA Rookie of the Year will see her jersey number retired.

For the rest of time, the number 22 will hang high in the rafters of Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

In honor of Clark's jersey retirement, the one time WNBA All-Star is giving back to four organizations that inspired her during her time at the University of Iowa.

The Caitlin Clark Foundation awarded four organizations $22,000 grants as a thank you to the Iowa City community.

“One of my favorite things about Iowa City is the way the community is connected and how everyone supports each other. It is something I felt during my time here and is important to me that I stay connected with. I am proud to be a part of each of these organizations’ efforts and the meaningful impact they provide for the people of Iowa,” said Clark.

These organizations include the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Coralville Community Food Pantry, Boys and Girls Club at the Corridor, and Special Olympics Iowa - East Central.

During her time as a student-athlete, Clark interacted with and volunteered to support all of these organizations. According to a press release from her foundation, one of her favorite activities as a student-athlete was visiting the Children's Hospital.

“The foundation is thrilled to support these organizations given their alignment with our mission statement and the three core pillars of uplifting youth through education, nutrition, and sports," said Mary Coffin, the President of the Caitlin Clark Foundation.

"Caitlin is an example for all of us of the impact one interaction can have and the legacy of uplifting others."
