I try, I mean I do, when it comes to hot dog toppings, to keep an open mind. That's to say, I don't understand when ketchup is put on top of a hot dog. I know it's not only a "me" thing, but would I put ketchup on top of a bologna sandwich? No, if you agree with that and still put ketchup on your hot dog, what are you even doing?

National Hot Dog Day Puts Illinois Toppings to the Test

Since today is officially National Hot Dog Day, Canada Casino, purveyors of all things hot dog, put together a list of Illinois' 10 favorite hot dog toppings, and I was this close to being super disappointed in our state's hot dog eaters.

Overall, "Yellow mustard sauce" was the top pick, with 56% of respondents saying it was their favorite, followed closely by ketchup, with 53% calling it their favorite condiment.
