If you're looking for the ultimate brat party then plan on hitting this festival in Wisconsin coming up this spring.

As we push through these cold and depressing winter months, there is one thing that keeps us going in Illinois. That's the thought of spring coming just around the corner. Hopefully, sooner than later. There are so many great events coming later this year.

Many residents of Illinois, especially in the Rockford area love heading up to Wisconsin when the weather turns for the better. Our neighbors to the north know how to have a good time with their outdoor festivals and events.

One of my favorite places to hit up in Wisconsin during the spring and summer months is Madison. That's a great town with lots to do. Mad City's best festival is the World's Largest Brat Fest. It doesn't get much better than that.

Brat Fest officially kicks off summer in Wisconsin over Memorial Day weekend. It's located on Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center. It's convenient coming from Rockford because it's right when you get to town. There's plenty of free parking and there's no admission to get in.

Besides having plenty of tasty brats, other food items, and ice-cold beer or beverages there's also a carnival, kids zone, and fireworks. The festival has multiple stages with live music going on all day including Ace Frehley from Kiss, Tyler Farr, Digital Underground, Steven Adler from Guns N Roses, and much more.
