Elevate your life at one of the best hiking spots in Illinois this year.

I've been hiking a handful of times over the past year, and it's been an incredible experience every time.  All my senses open up, I find clarity in so many ways, and it's a very relaxing (and free!) way to spend a day outside.

My favorite hiking spots are a short drive outside of Rockford: Devil's Lake, Starved Rock, and Matthiessen State Park.  Go solo or with your favorite hiking buddies!

This summer, I'm excited to explore so many other hiking trails with friends.  I've really wanted to hike Shawnee National Forest; it's on my bucket list!  But Rock Cut State Park in Rockford is a really great place to connect with nature.
