Worst Rated Fast Food Chain Has Three Cedar Rapids Area Locations

I'll admit it. My expectations when going to a fast food restaurant aren't as high as when I go to a sit-down restaurant. Should they be? The only pre-requisite I have when hitting the drive through is that they get my order right. As long as I get what I ordered, I doubt I'll hit up the internet and leave a scathing review if my fries are a little cold. But other fast food fans clearly have higher standards than me.

Delish reports that the website Coupon Birds recently dove into Google reviews from over 160,000 fast-food chain restaurants to find out who is the best, and who is the worst. Any guesses who ranked worst thanks to some sub-par Google reviews? It's a restaurant that I actually enjoy going to from time to time, and you can find plenty of locations here in the state of Iowa.

According to the study, the worst fast-food chain restaurant in the nation is Taco John's. The purveyor of potato oles has 376 locations nationwide, with over 50 here in Iowa. Cedar Rapids alone has three Taco John's locations. The average Google rating for Taco Johns was a not stellar 2.61. Here is the rest of the worst-rated restaurants.

1. Taco Johns - 2.61
2. McDonald's - 2.75
3. Bobby Burgers by Bobby Flay - 2.84
4. Wahlburgers @ Hy-Vee - 2.85
5. Popeyes - 2.90

Delish reports that while there were plenty of restaurants that should strive to do better, there were some very highly rated fast food chains to report. Here are the top five best fast-food chain restaurants according to the same study.

1. Chick-fil-A - 3.95
2. Five Guys - 3.85
3. Jersey Mike's Subs - 3.76
4. Waffle House - 3.72
5. Starbucks - 3.71

The study was completed by looking at over 161,000 Google reviews on Google Maps to make a fair comparison according to Delish. While we may not expect much from our fast food restaurants, there are clearly some that are performing at a higher level than others.
