The Corridor’s Newest Kwik Star Will Open on Thursday Morning
The Corridor is about to get another Kwik Star location this week, and the world is a better place because of it.
Yes, I love Kwik Star. While it's hard to beat a piece of Casey's breakfast pizza, Kwik Star is my stop for literally everything else. They have a huge selection of food items and their baked goods, including their Glazer donuts, are second to none! So when I hear that there is a new Kwik Star about to open I get genuinely excited! Which new neighborhood is going to enjoy what they have to offer?
The Corridor Business Journal reports that the new Kwik Star store in North Liberty is preparing to open tomorrow, Thursday, July 18th at 5 a.m. You'll be able to fill up your gas tank and your stomach at the new location at 1810 Diamond Blvd. easy to find off of I-380.
Now for those who don't know this bit of convenience store trivia, Kwik Star got its start in 1965 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin as Kwik Trip. When they expanded into Iowa in 1993, they called the new locations Kwik Star to avoid confusion Quick Trip stores, according to the CBJ. I've actually had the privilege of touring their headquarters in Wisconsin. It is a sight to behold. I even got to see fresh Glazers being born!
To celebrate the grand opening of the North Liberty store, Kwik Star is having several promotions including a chance to win free gas for a year. The CBJ reports that the official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on July 25th.
See you next time...in North Liberty!
