One of Marion's finest restaurants will soon be mixing things up a bit, switching to a much more fast and more casual dining experience.

That restaurant is Bistro 3 Nineteen, located at 796 11th street in Marion. In a press release, the restaurant is announcing some big changes to the way they serve food. According to the release, chef Brittany Hannah has announced that the restaurant will transition and offer counter service instead of table service. Counter service is when customers order at the counter and then come and get their food when their name or number is called. Hannah hopes the change ushers in a new fast-casual environment to the restaurant.

Chef Hannah states that the menu will feature simple, delicious, scratch-made items made fresh, and that customers can expect a number of unique breakfast and lunch items available all day. In the press release, Hannah states that "menu items are designed to be ready in a short period of time so that busy workers can get back to work."

Bistro 3 Nineteen opened up in 2018. I actually got to sit with chef Hannah prior to opening and see the amazing restaurant. It has plenty of seating, an amazing bar, and a door that opens up when the weather gets warm enough! Along with the changes to the menu and service, Bistro 3 Nineteen is also announcing new hours too. Restaurant hours are,

  • Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Friday dinner, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday brunch, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday dinner, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. The press release also points out that Bistro 3 Nineteen will also offer boxed lunches, cookie and muffin trays, scratch-made custom cakes, and catering. A ribbon cutting to celebrate the new changes will be held at the restaurant on Thursday, January 19th at 9 a.m.
