Iowa 5th Grader Wins National Super Bowl Kid Reporter Contest [WATCH]

Any sports fan, especially those of the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, can't help but be just a tad jealous of what an Iowa boy is going to experience in Arizona this week.

11-year-old Miles Waage loves his cards. He's a collector of football, basketball, and baseball cards. When he got some Panini football cards for his birthday with a card with information about a Super Bowl contest, his stepmom Sarah got an idea. That's when she decided they needed to enter a video of Miles into the contest to be Panini America's Super Bowl Kid Reporter. Sarah and Miles' dad, Nick, helped with the video and the rest is history.

According to Panini America, the contest had 135,000 entries and Miles was randomly selected as a finalist. The Des Moines Register reports there were nine finalists. Last week, he had a zoom call with his dad and stepmom. On the other end was Super Bowl-winning (2001) quarterback Trent Dilfer. He had an amazing surprise for Miles. The entire family's reaction is awesome.

Miles, a 5th grader in Waukee in central Iowa, made the trip to Arizona Sunday for what's going to be an unbelievable week. He won roundtrip airfare for 2, 8-nights of hotel accommodations, and two passes for today's Super Bowl Opening Night where'll be the official Panini Super Bowl Kid Reporter. Dilfer will escort Miles around the Footprint Center in Phoenix while he interviews the players during Super Bowl Opening Night.

No, we're not done. Miles also won two tickets to Sunday's Super Bowl, which he'll be attending with his dad. Needless to say, he'll be cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. He told Panini America he's looking forward to "cheering on my team in person and seeing touchdown dances." Let's hope you see plenty, Miles. Congratulations, and good luck to the Chiefs.
