A Unique New Eatery Opens This Week at Coral Ridge Mall

Get ready for a fun new food option in Coralville! Coral Ridge Mall has officially announced the addition of I Love Mochi to their food court. The Facebook post reads:

"If you're looking for something new...a bit of a twist on your go to favorites, look no further! I Love Mochi offers mochi donuts, crispy Korean corn dogs, sweet waffle pops, mochi ice cream, and refreshing fruit lemon splashes!"

The Food Network reports that Mochi is "a Japanese rice cake made from a sweet glutinous rice called mochigome that is steamed, pounded into a smooth rice dough and then molded into different shapes." Here in America, it's often served as a dessert, like mochi ice cream or mochi donuts. I Love Mochi offers both, with ice cream flavors like mango, espresso, strawberry, vanilla chip, and passion fruit.

If you're not familiar with Korean Corn Dogs, Google says they are a popular street food "made of a hot dog-style sausage on a stick, coated in batter, and deep-fried." Flavors available at I Love Mochi include Classic, Potato, Spicy Cheeto, Crispy Ramen, and Fruity Pebbles.

According to a comment from Coral Ridge Mall on Facebook, I Love Mochi officially opens TODAY, October 17th! The mall is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
