The One Thing Missing from the Great Jones County Fair [OPINION]
The five best days of summer are almost here. It's Great Jones County Fair week! We get to enjoy fantastic concerts, devour fair food, and pray the weather holds out! But I have to admit that there is one thing missing from this year's fair that needs to be addressed.
When is The Great Jones County Fair?
This year's Great Jones County Fair runs from July 16th through July 20th. You can see a complete rundown of all of the events going on each day HERE. This year's concert lineup includes;
- Thursday, July 17th - Sam Hunt with Dylan Marlowe
- Friday, July 18th - Nelly with Chingy
- Saturday, July 19th - HARDY with John Morgan
- Sunday, July 20th - The Roots and Boots Tour with Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, and Collin Raye.
Food and Drink Options at the Fair
There are so many different foods to try when you visit the Great Jones County Fair. I have to have a corn dog at some point. Many people swear by funnel cakes or nachos. Your beverage choices include lemonades, smoothies, and, of course, alcoholic beverages too. And that is where I think the fair needs to add an option.
When this year's beer menu was revealed, there were some people in the comments who suggested the fair add some NA, or non-alcoholic, selections. You can count me as a supporter of that.

Having an NA option would be great for designated drivers, expecting moms, or people like me who simply don't drink alcohol anymore. One NA variety might not be your top seller, but it would send a message to people like me that you want us to have a good time, too.
I'll see you at this year's Great Jones County Fair for three great country shows!
