OUTDOOR RINKS

Hughes Park, Cedar Rapids

• Public skating available during park hours: daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Rink is not supervised - bring your own skates
• Availability is dependent on weather/temperatures
• "When open and as weather allows, the City’s Rollin’ Rec program will visit the rink with ice skates and a limited number of push trainers available for use on a first-come, first-served basis."

Ice Loop at City Square Park, Marion

• Open through February (weather permitting)
• Public skating available daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. - you must bring your own skates outside of skate rental/Warming House hours
• Skate Rental/Warming House Hours
  • Thursday & Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Admission Prices (During Skate Rental/Warming House Hours)
  • $5 for ages 18+
  • $3 for ages 5 to 17
• Skate rental is $3 per pair - bring your own skates and you only pay admission

Community Ice Rink Outside of City Hall, Ely

• Public skating is available daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Availability is dependent on weather/temperatures
• Rink is not supervised - you must bring your own skates
• "Hockey nets are available to use when there are not ice skaters on the rink. Extra pucks are available to borrow inside City Hall during normal business hours."

Scheels Ice Rink at Penn Meadows Park, North Liberty

• Open December to March (weather permitting)
• Public skating available daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.- lights come on at 4 p.m.
• Rink is not supervised
• "A variety of skate sizes will be available for the public to borrow at no cost for up to 2 hours at a time. Skates can be checked out from the North Liberty Recreation Center front desk between 6 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Saturday & Sunday. A credit or debit card is required to check skates out. Must be 16 years or older to check out skates; a maximum of 4 pairs of skates can be borrowed by one person at a time."

Allison-Henderson Park, Dubuque

• Public skating is available daily from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. - lights come on at 4 p.m.
• Rink is not supervised - you must bring your own skates
• "The rink is equipped with two goals for hockey games but can also be enjoyed for free skating."

The Landing Ice Rink, Bettendorf

• Public Skating Hours
  • Wednesday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Holiday Hours (December 22nd to January 4th)
  • Sunday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Wayside Park, Decorah

• Warming House Hours
  • Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
