A Popular Corridor Discount Store is Moving Into Lindale Mall

DaaBIN Store is moving soon, but it won't be going far!

What is DaaBIN Store?

DaaBIN Store is a discount chain that's located at 1370 Twixt Town Road. The store has a constantly-changing inventory that is put into large blue and yellow bins. The business' website says:

"DaaBINS are filled with overstock and return items, commonly from major online retailers. None of our inventory is carried over from week to week. We take out what does not sell and replace it with all new items."

How Does it Work?

Every Thursday and Friday, DaaBIN Store is closed so that the staff can restock the store with brand new inventory. Then, on Saturday morning, the store officially opens to customers. From open to close on Saturday, all bin items are $8 each.

After Saturday, the bin prices drop each day. The prices for the rest of the week are:

• Sunday
  • Bin items are $5 each
• Monday
  • Bin items are $3 each
• Tuesday
  • Bin items are $2 each
• Wednesday
  • Bin items are $1 each

DaaBIN's website says that the Cedar Rapids/Marion location has the longest lines on Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings. They recommend waiting until later in the day to visit if "crowds are not your thing." That being said, the items are first-come, first-served, so you'll have more to choose from if you arrive early.

Where/When is DaaBIN Store Moving?

On Saturday, May 3rd, DaaBIN Store will hold a grand opening at their new store, which is located just across the street from their current location. They'll be moving into Lindale Mall in the space between Maurice's and Famous Footwear. The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. that morning and will include games, prizes, and more. Will Anything Else Change About the Store?

According to a Facebook LIVE, the new space is going to be a bit smaller than their current location, which means there won't be as many bins. But, they assure customers that they will still carry all of the same types of items that they have now. Also, they recommend coming into the mall from the entrance behind Cheddar's near the old Sears. That's the closest entrance to where the new store will be.
