An Eastern Iowa French Restaurant Was Named Iowa’s ‘Most Romantic’

Valentine's Day is on the way, so let's talk *romance.* More specifically, the most romantic restaurant in the state of Iowa. According to a new article from Love Food, a French restaurant in Coralville is the best of the best when it comes to romantic vibes!

Located at 424 6th Ave, Chez Grace is a small French restaurant that opened back in 2009. And, when we say small, we mean it! According to the website, their dining room has only six tables, so there is only room for 24 people at a time.

The article from Love Food describes Chez Grace as a "sophisticated restaurant" that serves "simple, yet perfectly executed dishes," and the prices reflect that. The prix fixe dinner menu changes on a weekly basis and includes four or five courses. The latest options on the Main Course portion of the menu includes:

• Steak Au Poivre - Petit Fillet, Brandy Peppercorn Cream sauce, Butter Gold Potatoes
• Fillet Mignon - Pommes De Terre, Truffle Balsamic Emulsion Glaze
• Chilean Sea Bass - Champagne Risotto, Balsamic Glaze
• Wild Alaskan Halibut - Mascarpone Enriched Orzo, Orange Glaze

If you want to experience the romance of Chez Grace, you're going to need to make a reservation. Just call 319-338-1738, and if you get the answering machine, leave a message with your name, the number of guests in your party, the date you're requesting, and your phone number. Because of the size of the restaurant, Chez Grace requires a credit card to hold your reservation. Any tables of five or more will need to make a non-refundable deposit of $75 per person at the time of the reservation, and any "no-call, no-shows" or cancellations with less than 72 hour notice will result in a charge of $100 per person.
