Chicken Salad Chick to Open First Iowa Location in the Corridor
The very first Iowa location of a fast food chain that features chicken salad in various forms will open in the Corridor on Wednesday.
The Corridor Business Journal reports that the first Iowa location of Chicken Salad Chick will open in Coralville. The restaurant is described as fast-casual and specializes in chicken salad dishes. The Coralville location will be at 2510 Corridor Way #6b near Men's Warehouse and north of Coral Ridge Mall. According to its Google profile, the new restaurant will open on Wednesday, October 16th.
According to their website, Chicken Salad Chick was founded in 2008 by Stacy and Kevin Brown in Auburn, Alabama. They turned their love of chicken salad into the only fast-casual restaurant chain in the nation dedicated to making fresh chicken salad and featuring unique recipes. When you look at the menu at Chicken Salad Chick, you see some unique menu items. The Classic Carol. The Jalapeno Holly. The Cranberry Kelly. Each name is a tribute to a 'real-life' chick. You can get your chicken salad on a sandwich or as a scoop. They also feature sides like broccoli salad, fresh fruit, and mac and cheese.
The CBJ reports that Chicken Salad Chick is also opening locations in Kansas City, Mo., Naperville, Ill., and Strongsville, Ohio. The Coralville store will join 270 other locations in 19 states.
