Play Mini Golf on a World Record-Holder in Cedar Rapids This Saturday

The World's 'Longest Temporary Mini Golf Hole' will be set up in Downtown Cedar Rapids this weekend, and you can come experience it for yourself!

According to a press release, UScellular is bringing a Guinness World Record title holder to Cedar Rapids on Saturday: a 507-foot, 8-inch mini golf hole! The announcement reads:

"The company will host a free event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Plaza Park on Mays Island with the record-holding golf hole and additional family-friendly activities that include face painting, a giant puzzle, snow cones, mural painting and other larger-than-life games."

This record was just broken this month right here in Iowa. Last Saturday, June 21st, UScellular set up the temporary hole in Downtown Des Moines, and an representative from Guinness World Records was actually there to make it official!

If you're wondering why UScellular decided to set this world record, it's all part of their 'Unplug & Play' campaign. The goal of the campaign is to get people to use their devices less and develop "healthier digital habits." UScellular will continue to tour their new mini golf hole throughout the summer, with additional stops in Ankeny (IA), Green Bay (WI), Stevens Point (WI), and more.
