Des Moines-based Fridley Theaters has a reputation across Iowa and Nebraska for building "massive new entertainment centers" in smaller towns across the state. According to the KCRG, a new one is on its way to another bustling Eastern Iowa community.

A video on the Fridley Theaters' Facebook page shows that they already have facilities in Algona, Carroll, Cherokee, Decorah, Grinnell, Marshalltown, Muscatine and Waukee.

More details from the Cedar Rapids Gazette back in August indicated Tiffin will be the site of the new Palms Theater, an IMAX and family entertainment center that will be part of the Park Place Development just off Interstate 380. This is the same development that will be home to the new TopTracer golf facility, Casa Tequila, 380 Nails, Farmers State Bank, iGYM, and Speedy Mike’s car wash.

Arcade games, bowling, a restaurant, and a bar will all be part of the facility and the experience will include the IMAX screen that will be 70 feet tall and 90 feet wide.

With its long list of amenities, it will be sure to make Tiffin the entertainment hub for the entire I-380 corridor. They are expected to announce many more details soon, but the latest details on the project are noted in the Facebook post below.

Fridley Theaters has 17 locations in Iowa and Nebraska, with their most recent Iowa location opening in Waukee in 2019.

So, why Tiffin? Per the Gazette: "measured by the percentage rate of growth over the last decade, Tiffin — population 4,512 — is the fastest-growing city in Iowa, according to the most recent 2020 census."

The new theater and entertainment complex is part of this development and will be yet another exciting attraction for visitors and residents alike in the growing Eastern Iowa town.

This house is nice enough without the video game store in the basement... but that video game store is pretty awesome, too.
