The guys in Young the Giant are in studio working up tracks for their third record. We may hear some of those new songs in test-drive mode at the NewBo Music Festival on August 8.

In February the band traveled to India for Sulafest. I love international travel. That would be one of the best perks of hitting it big in the music biz. Check out this video. That moment when they play some Rage Against the Machine for one of the locals is priceless.

Those shots of the poverty and pollution in the slums of Mumbai is sobering. The guys are in their mid-20s, a great time to see the world. Cool benefit: being a band filmed by MTV.

As you can see by these tour dates, the band is taking plenty of time between shows to focus on those studio sessions. We're lucky to have them in Cedar Rapids. I cannot wait!!
