I really like watching this Iowa basketball team play. They're young, athletic, talented, and at times, overmatched. Yes, experience counts, especially in sports. These young Hawks have taken their share of drubbings this season, and last night at Rutgers they were once again playing without leading scorer Peter Jok who is nursing a sore back. No worries. The young guys have got this.

Freshman Jordan Bohannon had 17 points to lead Iowa to an 83-63 win. This thing was never close. Iowa led by 25 points in the first half and held off a couple of late Rutgers runs. Cordel Pemsl had 16 points for Iowa, who played their most complete game of the year. Iowa assisted on 24 of their 30 baskets. Only 2 Rutgers players scored in double digits.

It was also the fastest start Iowa has had all year. Yes, the young Hawkeyes have been learning on the job. The second half of the season could be a lot of fun!
