You Won’t Believe the Reason an Iowa Woman Stabbed Her Ex-Boyfriend

Police were called to a central Iowa home for a stabbing early Tuesday afternoon. They found an injured man and a strange story.

According to a Des Moines Police report obtained by the Des Moines Register, the injured man told police his ex-girlfriend, Angela Thompson, 45, woke up "in a bad mood." He went on to say she shouted "You need to get a job you lazy bum."

When the unidentified man picked up a guitar and started picking, the anger allegedly reached overload. It's then that Thompson reportedly said, "I'm going to stab you! I value my freedom but I'm going to stab you." It's alleged that's just what she did, causing injuries to the man's forearm and scratches.

The man said he didn't call police because he didn't want the woman to go to jail, but a warrant has been issued for Thompson on a willful injury charge. If I'm that guy, I'm looking for a job and a new place of residence, not necessarily in that order.
