First, before we begin the bowl projections and games of 'what if', can we just take another minute to enjoy Iowa's win over Michigan on Saturday night. A sold out crowd, a national television audience, and a fan base that had begun to doubt. We should have all known that's when a Kirk Ferentz coached team is at it's most dangerous.

OK...now on to the rest of the season. Two games remain. As much as I'd like to call a road game at Illinois a win, I just can't. This teams hasn't earned that right yet. But coming off the emotion of Saturday's win over Michigan I have to believe that the Hawks will find a way to beat an Illinois team with only 2 Big Ten wins.

Then, it's Nebraska. The Black Friday showdown is in Iowa City this year, and the Hawks will likely have a lot to play for. An 8-4 season can't be viewed as anything but quite an accomplishment after some of the football we've seen this year. How high could an 8 win Iowa team go as far as bowl rankings go? I'm not sure New Year's Day will be an option but one thing is for sure. The more wins, the warmer things will get! GO HAWKS!
